Motivation, 5 for Five, and a Freebie!

It's Monday!! That means it's time for Smiling with Second Grade's Motivational Monday, a 5 for Five with Jenn and Jessica and a Manic Monday Freebie. As much as it pains me to say this, I love Mondays...bloggy Monday's that is :)

I'm looking forward to Friday this week as it's finals week and oldest Realistic son and Realistic girlfriend are coming home so I am over the top excited!! Yayyy – we they have finished our their first college semester.

I’m linking with Smiling in Second Grade’s Motivational Monday again this week. Here is a little motivation (and a few laughs) to get you through the week and one week closer to break!

A reminder...

An award...

A little bit of honesty and a dash of humor...

Okay, and, because it is Monday, and I LOVE my bloggy friends Jenn and Jessica here is the recap of last week’s 5 for Five.

I wasn’t much more productive this week than last…at least not when it came to these goals – I had too many other emergency additions to my list last week. It seems like for everything I crossed off the list I added one or two more.

1. Gym three times this week – drats! I was only one day away. Wednesday are tough since Zumba doesn’t start until 7:30. I might have to go to the weight class instead.

2. Paint the clothes pins for our behavior chart – check!

3. Start decorating for Christmas – well, if you read yesterdays post, you’ll know that I haven’t gotten a thing done yet…

4. Finalize next week’s lesson plans, homework calendar, etc. – check!

5. Schedule an appointment for a massage… I seriously forgot this was even on my list!!

Okay – 2 out of 5 isn’t bad  is awful, but I am looking forward and not going to stress out about it! Here are this week’s goals:

1. Gym three times this week – absolutely!! My workout buddies are going to be there on Wednesday so the pressure is on!

2. Start decorating for Christmas – can’t promise, but I’ll try!

3. Work on some of my January school projects… this will be a tough one – if I’m at the gym 3 nights and tutoring 1 night my evenings are pretty much shot.

4. Schedule that massage appointment!!

5. Stop and take time to eat lunches.

Finally, my Manic Monday Freebie!! A Sweet Sleigh Ride math worksheet – a quick and easy addition to your December/Christmas holiday materials!
Happy Monday friends & here is to having a productive week!!

December Currently, a Little Motivation, 5 for Five, & Manic Monday

Yikes! It’s Monday and a track in day – that means there is going to be too many things for me to get done today!! I am sure you can imagine the look of panic on my face!!
Here is my December Currently looks like…thanks to Farley at Oh’ Boy 4th Grade

Seriously…

I have a ton of stuff to get done which includes starting my Christmas shopping and decorating! I know you must completely be wondering what I’ve been doing, but heading back to school during the Christmas season is bull crap very overwhelming.

I have to get my classroom stuff ready….and…and… I won’t give you the {sniff, sniff} sob story, but it is really over the top stressful!!

Okay – so I am in obvious need of motivation!!

My workout hasn’t defeated me.  I’ve not been to the gym lately, but I am not giving up!!

I’ve not been to the gym lately, but I am not giving up!!

Okay, and, because it is Monday, and I LOVE my new bloggy friends Jenn and Jessica here is the recap of my 5 for Five…

I’ll just forewarn you – this week was not very productive, be ready to see some red!!

1.  Lesson plan for the next two weeks – Done, check!!!

2.  Hit the gym three times this week.  Yes, another week of sad & sorry excuses…blah!

3.  Start decorating for Christmas – even if it is just brining the boxes into the living room… Nope- the boxes remain in storage…too busy arranging my classroom on Friday and actually took time to restore on Saturday… on the list again this week!

4.  Paint more clothes pins for our behavior chart….. dang, another one I didn’t get to!

5.  Have my classroom set up and arranged before next Monday morning. Done, check & yes, I had to stay until 6:00 on Friday…alas, the reason the other tasks on my list were not completed…

And now…. looking forward!!  I’m planning on seeing green next Monday… let’s do this!

1.  Gym three times this week – my clothes are with me today so Monday is a no brainer!!

2.  Paint the clothes pins for our behavior chart – my kids need to have this done, so again – the pressure is on!

3.  Start decorating for Christmas – I have nothing on the calendar for next Saturday yet, so that is the day…

4.  Finalize next week’s lesson plans, homework calendar, etc. so I have it ready to be copied on Friday and have next weekend free for decorating! I must be a genius – pre-plan, see me shine – I’m simply {{{brilliant}}}

5.  Schedule an appointment for a massage… to reward myself for getting everything on my list done!

Finally – if you have made it this far – thanks for hanging with me!!  It’s Manic Monday at Classroom Freebies!!

This Monday’s freebie is a Snowy Friend Math Story.  This is a quick math freebie – hope you enjoy!!

Happy Monday all!  Thanks for sticking with me & have a super-spectacular day!!

Motivational Monday & My 5 for Five

I love Smiling in Second Grade's Motivational Monday idea!! What a great way to start your week!

Thank you Pinterest for helping me keep this in mind...

I'm linking with Jenn & Jessica this week and posting the top 5 on my to-do list. Hopefully this will be the motivator I need to get it all done!

1. Finish my Nutcracker activities. I really want to get this finished so I can actually use it this school year!

2. Go to the gym Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week. Of course I need to get my Zumba on, but Wednesday I also need the trainer from hell to help me work out. Eric, I really do love what you're doing for my body, but my mind doesn't... that doesn't sound good, but well, I guess you guys get it (or at least I hope you do....)

3. Focus on the growth of my blog and Facebook pages. I need to remember not to get down on myself and focus on what is going right. Guess that means improving my mental attitude this week.

4. Start (and possibly finish) my Christmas Eve pack. I want to create some activities for my students to do on the 24th. It will keep them busy if they're traveling, or doing something other than watching television or playing video games. I think it'll be a great start to their break!

5. Eat breakfast (even if it's just drinking a smoothie) every morning this week. I was doing really well for awhile, but it was a quick slip last week.

If I'm going to complete goal two I better run - I've got to get to the gym!
