We journeyed north about 900 miles in the middle of the night, weathering some snow in Virginia and West Virginia to surprise my mitten family. Only Realistic Mom knew we were coming – I had to stop her from sending gifts!
Since being here we have been on the road nonstop and catching up with friends and family here in the white north. Mr. Realistic and both Realistic boys have banned me from working… while I appreciate this gesture; I am having severe teaching, planning, and creativity withdrawals!!

However, I can say that I am truly enjoying time with my family (especially my new nephew who inspired our trip).
